Glen L. Moore, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Glen L. Moore joins Bon Secours after almost 15 years as a Staff Surgeon at Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth. Here, he worked to develop and refine the hospital's Bariatric Surgery Program. His involvement with hundreds of laparoscopic gastric bypass surgeries has contributed to the negligible complication rate of the program.

Dr. Moore earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in 1983, and completed both his internship and residency in general surgery at the Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth. He has served as a General Medical Officer with the Marine Corps and as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and the Eastern Virginia School of Medicine. He has been in the Medical Corps of the U.S. Navy since 1981, proudly serving aboard aircraft carriers and hospital ships as a General Surgeon in times of peace and war.

He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and a member of the American College of Surgeons.

Dr. Moore is married with three children.
