| The Colorectal Program
Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center’s Cancer Program
has been specifically designed for patients with colorectal
benign and malignant diagnoses. Since these forms of cancers
tend to be among the most virulent, we developed our program
to give your patients immediate access to a comprehensive
continuum of care that will expedite their diagnosis, treatment
and post-operative care. The elements of the Colorectal Program
include:
A cancer prevention, education and resource center
Your patient will have many questions and concerns. Our resource
center has been developed to provide them with a wealth of
information and important services that they may need or want.
- Lifestyle modification services including smoking cessation,
exercise and nutritional counseling
- Complimentary holistic medical services including stress
management, massage therapy, biofeedback and other mind and
body services
- Image Recovery services that include cosmetic products
and
services, skin and hair care, and wigs
Early cancer detection efforts
We believe education and early detection are very important.
Education programs such as the Bon Secours' Knowing, Doing,
Living! program, community events and seminars, and cancer
assessments emphasize lifestyle changes that can reduce the
risk of cancer and the importance of screenings and early
detection to surviving cancer.
A streamlined assessment process
