Postoperative Care

We’ve developed postoperative protocols to ensure a patient’s quick recovery. In addition, patients will be introduced to a variety of services and programs to assure full recovery.

  • Daily surgeon and care coordinator monitored post-operative recovery
  • Psycho-social assessment during the recovery process
  • A patient’s information and concerns are reported to the Lung and Chest’s multi- disciplinary team by their patient care coordinator
  • Patient discharge is coordinated through the program’s medical director
  • A patient’s care coordinator will send a letter outlining all available support groups
  • Other services and programs such as our Image Recovery Center will also be explained
  • A patient evaluation to ensure quality and continued improvement of the Lung and Chest Program
