Substance Abuse

Bon Secours Employee Assistance Program team members have worked extensively in the field of addictions. We are aware of the damage addiction can cause to individuals, their family members and anyone who cares about them. The last place addiction is identified is in the workplace. Learning more about this disease and it impacts can be the first step in getting help to a better life for everyone involved. Recovery is a process that is rarely done in isolation.

Denial is a part of the disease and truly does not allow the individuals involved to see the consequences related to their use of alcohol and/or drug usage as it really is. It is particularly difficult to accept addiction to prescription medication. Don't wait until alcohol or drug use is putting your job at risk. The sooner one seeks help, the greater the likelihood of a successful outcome.

Process addictions may also create problems in the lives of many. Process addictions include anything that becomes addictive outside of alcohol/drugs. If you want more information or help regarding addictions please call Bon Secours EAP at 757-398-2374.
