Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center
has developed programs and services to meet the health care
needs of the community.
On November 1, 1996, DePaul Medical Center was transferred
from the Daughters of Charity National Health System-Southeast
to Bon Secours Health System, Inc., and renamed Bon Secours
DePaul Medical Center.
Since 1996, Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center has introduced
several vital services and programs. Here are just a few:
- The Bon Secours DePaul Cancer Center, with state-of-
the-art radiation therapy equipment and the area’s
only Image Recovery Center.
- A Lung and Chest program with the area’s
only lung cancer screening program
- Introduced hyperbaric oxygen therapy to the area
and currently has the largest treatment capacity
featuring three chambers
- In 2003, installed Virginia’s first endovascular
laboratory
- Developed the area’s most comprehensive
Senior Assessment Program
- Developed the Joint and Spine Center, a dedicated
inpatient program specifically designed to meet
the needs of patients who undergo joint and back
surgery.
