Early disease detection efforts
Our education programs, community events and seminars, and cancer assessments emphasize lifestyle changes that can reduce risk related to many diseases that affect the lungs and chest; including cancer. Early detection, through screenings and annual physicals, can help boost your ability to survive an otherwise devastating disease.
Our program is designed to meet a patient’s immediate and long-term needs while working to expedite as much of the process as possible. Our Nurse Navigator guides and help patients through a continuum of care. This includes assistance with appointments, coordinating with physicians, connecting with community resources, pre and post surgical support and supportive care. A medical director consultation and thorough physical exam to determine a patient’s diagnosis and same-day additional tests when required. We also offer coordination with all care team members which includes the patient’s primary care physician, pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and Nurse Navigators.
