MANNSFELD JOINS BON SECOURS DEPAUL MEDICAL CENTER AS MEDICAL DIRECTOR, EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
(Norfolk, VA- April 3, 2007) – Christian P. Mannsfeld, M.D., has joined Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center as medical director of the emergency department. In this position he will collaborate with staff, administration and other department leaders to continuously improve patient and physician satisfaction, to improve quality of care and enhance processes to improve patient through-put. Dr. Mannsfeld is part of TeamHealth, the national emergency care provider that has recently affiliated with Bon Secours Hampton Roads to provide emergency physician services at its facilities.
Dr. Mannsfeld earned his medical degree in 1993 from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham, Ala., after completing his bachelor’s degree in 1987 at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala. He completed his internship at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in Birmingham, and his orthopedic surgery research fellowship at Harvard Medical School in Boston. Dr. Mannsfeld is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and fluent in German.
