(Suffolk, Va - July 21, 2006) - Baher A. Basta, MBBCh, has joined Nansemond Suffolk Family Practice, a part of the Bon Secours Hampton Roads Health System and a Maryview Primary Care Center.

Dr. Basta received his general certificate of education from the University of London, England, and his bachelor of medicine and surgery degree (MBBCh) from the University of Alexandria, Egypt. He did his internal medicine residency training at Eastern Virginia Medical School and was chief resident of internal medicine at EVMS.

He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association.

Nansemond Suffolk Family Practice provides high quality medical care for all members of the family, including annual and pre-surgical physicals; management of ongoing medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol; and wellness screenings. The practice also provides care for children including well child visits, immunizations, school and sports physicals; gynecology services for women including pap smears; and routine diagnostic testing including blood work, urinalysis, and EKGs performed in the office.
