Bon Secours Progresses Successfully in Implementing its Bold New Vision
Suffolk, Va. (October 10, 2007) Bon Secours Hampton Roads Health System is pleased to announce, in a board meeting on October 9, 2007, the Eastern Virginia Health Systems Agency Board (EVHSA) recommended for approval all three Certificates of Public Need for the proposed Bon Secours hospitals in Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Suffolk.
Recommendations were approved for the proposed Bon Secours Harbour View and Bon Secours Virginia Beach hospitals. The recommendations for the Bon Secours DePaul campus reflects the alternative proposed the EVHSA staff report.

The next step in the Certificate of Public Need process is the independent state staff report, due out by October 19 and a hearing before a member of the Health Commissioner’s staff on November 14 and 15 in Richmond. The EVHSA Board recommendation, the state reviewer’s report, and the adjudication officer’s report will be forwarded to the Health Commissioner who will render a final decision by early January. |
