BROWNING JOINS BON SECOURS SURGICAL WEIGHT LOSS TEAM
Suffolk, Va. (May 25, 2006) – Bon Secours Hampton Roads announced today the association of Jacqueline Browning, MS, RD as the dietician for Bon Secours Surgical Weight Loss Center located at Bon Secours Health Center at Harbour View in Suffolk.
“Jacqueline fills a key role within our comprehensive bariatric program,” said Melodye Myers, manager of the Bon Secours Surgical Weight Loss Center. “She is highly qualified and an asset to our team.”
As the dietician, Browning is part of a multidisciplinary team that helps to evaluate a person’s readiness for surgical weight loss. She will be responsible for educating the patient in regard to pre- and post-operative dietary changes, discussing dietary changes such as protein supplements, vitamins and minerals, low fat and low sugar diet, and diet advancement.
Browning received both her bachelor and master of science degrees in dietetics from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL. She is certified in food sanitation and is also a certified nursing aide and certified nutrition education specialist.
Prior to coming to Bon Secours, she worked as a registered dietitian at Charleston Naval Hospital in Charleston, SC. Browning and her husband reside in the Kempsville section of Virginia Beach.
