Cindy K. Bartlett has been hired as the vice president of corporate responsibility services for Bon Secours Hampton Roads (BSHR). Bartlett brings significant health care administrative experience in the areas of corporate compliance and internal audit to this position.

At Bon Secours, Bartlett is responsible for overseeing project management of corporate responsibility initiatives used to monitor compliance with legal, regulatory, policy and ethical requirements articulated in the Bon Secours Code of Conduct. She serves as the BSHR corporate compliance and privacy officer, and she works to assure a culture of integrity and corporate responsibility is adopted and exhibited at every level of the organization.

Prior to joining Bon Secours, Bartlett served as the vice president of compliance and internal audit for Memorial Health System in Illinois since August 2005. From October 2002 to August 2005, she was the chief compliance officer for St. Joseph’s/Candler Health Systems in Georgia, and the vice president of compliance and outcomes for Lafayette General Medical Center, Inc., in Louisiana from April 1999 to September 2002. She has also held other administrative and clinical positions over the years.

Bartlett received a master’s degree in health administration from the University of Missouri – Columbia and a bachelor’s degree in economics, also from the University of Missouri. She also earned a diploma in nursing from Jewish Hospital School of Nursing in St. Louis. 

She is a member of the Healthcare Compliance Association (HCCA) and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and participates in the HFMA’s national Patient Financial Services and Compliance Forums. Bartlett is the former Louisiana State Compliance Committee Chairperson. She received a Certification in Healthcare Compliance from the HCCA and is a Certified Professional in Utilization Review.
