Bon Secours Appoints Daniel S. Duggan Executive Vice President and Administrator Of Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center

 

Norfolk, Va. (March 20, 2006)  –  Bon Secours Hampton Roads Health System is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel S. Duggan as Executive Vice President and Administrator of Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center in Norfolk, effective today.

In this capacity, Mr. Duggan will work closely with the medical staff and leadership of Bon Secours DePaul to identify effective and innovative programs and services that best meet the needs of the Norfolk and Virginia Beach communities. Specifically, he will be responsible for leading, managing and directing Bon Secours DePaul's growth strategy and for day-to-day operations.   

Duggan previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Bon Secours Holy Family Regional Health System, in Altoona PA, which later became Altoona Regional Health System in 2004 when Altoona and Bon Secours Holy Family hospitals joined together.  Before assuming leadership of Bon Secours Holy Family, Duggan served as the hospital's Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer.  And prior to joining Bon Secours, he served as Vice President of Nursing and Vice President of Patient Care Services for Samaritan Medical Center. 

Duggan was graduated from Canyon College with an MA in Health Care Administration and from California State University at Chico with a BS in Nursing.  He is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
