Bon Secours Announces New Vice President of Sponsorship
Sr. Patricia Heath Comes to Hampton Roads from Michigan

Suffolk, Va. (November 29, 2007) – Sister Patricia M. Heath, SUSC, has joined Bon Secours Health Systems, Inc., (BSHSI) as senior vice president of sponsorship. In this position, she will be responsible for sponsorship, mission and governance for Bon Secours in Hampton Roads.
Sr. Pat will be a member of the BSHSI Executive Council and will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership in Hampton Roads in strategic planning, negotiations, and leadership development, with a particular focus on the mission interests of the Sisters of Bon Secours.
Sr. Pat comes to Bon Secours after serving as vice president of mission for Bon Secours Cottage Health Services (BSCHS) in Grosse Pointe, Mich., where she was a member of the CEO’s Cabinet and the Operations Oversight Team. She also administered the Spiritual Care Department and Parish Nurses for BSCHS.
A member of the Holy Union Sisters congregation, Sr. Pat co-directs Holy Union Associates and prior to coming to Bon Secours, she led the Fall River Province of the Holy Union Sisters for five years with responsibilities for personnel, health care, formation, finances, property, legal and canonical issues, communication and development. She was also responsible for the direction of the Province Staff members and committees and shared leadership with four Provincial Councilors. Sr. Pat has broad experience in health care and education, as well as broad teaching experience and administration in religious education.
Sr. Pat earned a bachelor’s degree in Education from the College of the Sacred Hearts in Fall River, Mass., and a master’s degree in Education with a concentration in Theology and Administration from Boston College. She serves on a variety of boards, councils and religious and other professional organizations. |
