Norfolk, Va. (June 18, 2007) – Bon Secours Hampton Roads Health System today announced the association of Anita C. Kumar, M.D. and the establishment of a new primary care practice, DePaul Medical Associates, located at 100 Granby Street, Suite 100 in Norfolk.  Kumar comes to Bon Secours from a private practice in New York, where she gained experience in a fast paced, multitasking environment being the sole practitioner.

Anita C. Kumar, M.D., is a board certified internist.  Kumar received her medical degree from the University Medical School of Debrecen in Hungary, and completed her internship and residency for Internal Medicine from the Weill Medical School of Cornell University. She has been a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association since 2002.

DePaul Medical Associates was established in response to Bon Secours’ commitment to provide better access to primary care in the Norfolk area. Located on the campus of Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center, DePaul Medical Associates offers comprehensive care for patients of all ages.  Along with colleague, Dr. Jake Miller, a board certified family physician, DePaul Medical Associates will provide: well women care, ongoing care for men, annual and pre-surgical physicals, as well as management of ongoing medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol.
