Mary Immaculate Hires Experienced Surgical Nurse Manager

Newport News, Va. (April 1, 2008) – Nancy Langhorne, RN, MSN, has been hired as nurse manger of the in-patient surgical unit at Mary Immaculate Hospital. Langhorne, who has also worked Bon Secours DePaul and Maryview Medical Centers, has more than 30 years of adult and pediatric nursing experience
Langhorne returns to Bon Secours after serving as manager of the Riverside Walter Reed Hospital emergency department. Prior to this, she served as nurse manager of the Bon Secours Maryview outpatient surgery center and as a clinical nurse educator there for several years. In addition to working as a staff nurse and nursing supervisor at Bon Secours DePaul, she has also worked at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where she served as a nursing unit manager and nursing instructor, and at Children’s Hospital of the Kings’ Daughters.
Langhorne holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in nursing from Old Dominion University.
