(Norfolk, Va – August 3, 2006) – Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center has hired James J. Leach, R.N., as operating room nurse manager. In this role, Leach is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day and long-term operations of the OR, including personnel, scheduling and contract maintenance.

Leach is an experienced ICU and OR nurse with an extensive background in management and administration, including 16 years at University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville, Va.

Most recently, he was clinical manager for the operating room at UVa Hospital. Leach held positions at UVa Hospital including OR nurse, RN coordinator critical care pool, critical care pool staff nurse, wage staff nurse, clinician II staff nurse, and pediatric intensive care staff nurse.

Leach received his nursing diploma from Holy Name Hospital School of Nursing, Teaneck, N.J., and he is currently working toward a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Nursing.

Leach resides with his family in Norfolk and is interested in golf, fishing, biking and water sports.
