Bon Secours In Motion Physical Therapy Announces New Lead Dietitian

Virginia Beach, Va. (Oct. 23, 2007) – Brooke Mercedes has joined Bon Secours In Motion Physical Therapy and Sports Performance Center as the lead Registered Dietitian with an emphasis in sports nutrition.
Prior to joining Bon Secours, Mercedes worked at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters since 2004, specializing in rehabilitation, tracheotomy patients, premature infants, adolescent sports medicine, eating disorders, weight loss/weight gain and metabolic disorders.
Mercedes received a bachelor’s degree in nutrition from the University of Kentucky in 1999. She completed a dietetic internship at the University of Delaware in 2003-2004 and became a Registered Dietitian in February 2004. She is currently working on a master’s degree in clinical nutrition at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, which she expects to complete in 2008. She is also working toward becoming a certified dietitian in sports nutrition. |
