MACLEOD NAMED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT/ADMINSITRATOR OF BON SECOURS MARYVIEW MEDICAL CENTER
PORTSMOUTH, Va. (January 3, 2005)- Susan A. MacLeod has been
chosen as the executive vice president/administrator for Bon
Secours Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth Virginia, a
346-bed regional medical center that is part of the Bon Secours
Health System.
In this capacity, MacLeod is responsible for overall administration
of the Medical Center and its associated facilities in Western
Hampton Roads. MacLeod will work with leadership teams, physicians,
and clinical teams to ensure that the ministry of the Sisters
of Bon Secours grows in the Western Hampton Roads market.

its integrated, complex services and its growth potential,”
stated MacLeod. “I look forward to working with physicians
and staff of Maryview to expand existing and grow new programs,
improve the overall quality of services rendered to our ever
changing community and to further Maryview’s reputation
as the regional medical center of Western Hampton Roads.”

Prior to relocating to Bon Secours Maryview, MacLeod served
for three years as the executive vice president/administrator
for Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center in Norfolk, Va.
MacLeod joined Bon Secours in 2003 when she was recruited
from St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center, in New York,
NY. She served as administrator/chief operating officer of
the two-campus, 507-bed, teaching hospital.
MacLeod received her Master of Arts degree from Michigan
State University and is a member of the American College of
Health Care Executives. She has 27 years experience, which
includes an extensive knowledge of hospital operations, service
line development and physician relations.
