Mary Immaculate Hospital Announces 2007 Board of Directors
Newport News, VA (January 24, 2007) – Steven B. Hopson, M.D., has been appointed as a new member of the Mary Immaculate Hospital Board of Directors for 2007.
Dr. Hopson, a physician with Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group, received his bachelor’s degree in biology at Temple University in Philadelphia, and his medical degree at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Dr. Hopson is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, National Medical Association, and the American Society for Bariatric Surgery, as well as the Medical Society of Virginia and the Hampton Medical Society.
Nora Paffrath, who retired from Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth in 2001 as vice president of mission, continues to serve as chair of the Board of Directors

Concetta Labenz, Congregation of the Bernardine Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis; Michael E. Mares, Witt, Mares, Eggleston, Smith; Dr. Hoskote S. Nagraj, Internal Medicine; Sr. David Ann Niski, Bernardine Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis and secretary of the board;Jon A.
