Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center was pleased to be the Presenting Sponsor of the 2007 Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast.  Church and Community in Action coordinated the breakfast. 

Maryview Vice President of Mission Rita Hickey offered a greeting to nearly 600 attendees who filled the St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church Edmonds Center. 

During her remarks, Hickey gave Dr. King’s position on health care.  About health, he said, “Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane.” 

At Bon Secours Hampton Roads, including Maryview Medical Center, we strive every day to live up to our Mission.  The Mission of the Bon Secours Health System is to bring compassion to health care and to be good help to those in need, especially those who are poor and dying.
