VASCULAR SURGEONS AT BON SECOURS DEPAUL MEDICAL CENTER TO OFFER EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM TO PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIANS

Norfolk, Va. (April 14, 2006) – Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center and Eastern Virginia Medical School have joined together to offer primary care physicians a chance to learn the latest advances and issues relating to vascular disease. Advances in Lower Extremity Arterial Disease,” will be presented on Monday, June 19, 2006, by Dr. Richard Demasi, a vascular surgeon with Vascular and Transplant Specialists in Norfolk. The program will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Town Center City Club in Virginia Beach.

The program will include the latest treatment options for claudication/ischemia, the benefit of limb salvage through endovascular maneuvers and restoring blood flow to the lower extremities through subintimal angioplasty.

This is the second educational seminar in a series of four  being offered to  physicians. Participants will receive Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits through the Eastern Virginia Medical School. The remaining two educational lectures will be held this Fall.
