VASCULAR SURGEONS AT BON SECOURS DEPAUL MEDICAL CENTER TO OFFER EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM TO PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIANS
Norfolk, Va. (June 14, 2006) –Eastern Virginia Medical School and Bon Secours DePaul Medical Center have joined together to offer primary care physicians an opportunity to learn more about the latest advances and issues relating to vascular disease. Michael Marcinczyk MD, vascular surgeon with Vascular and Transplant Specialists in Norfolk will present “Carotid Artery Disease” on Tuesday, September 26, 2006. The program will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Town Point Club in Norfolk. Physicians interested in attending should call 889-2273 to register.
In addition to discussing the diagnosis of carotid artery disease, the program will include information on the latest treatment options, which includes medical management, carotid endarterectomy and carotid stenting procedures.
This is the third educational seminar in a series of four being offered to physicians. Participants will receive Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits through the Eastern Virginia Medical School. The remaining educational lecture will be held later this fall.
