Mary Immaculate Hospital Launches 4-part Series
(Newport News, Va. – April 17, 2006) – “Balance Your Tires, Balance Your Hormones: Cruising the Road of Midlife” is the first of four Spirit of Women workshops that Mary Immaculate Hospital will hold as part of the What Women Put Up With: How to Do the Things in Life that you Never Thought you Could educational series.
“This series takes a laugh and learn approach to learning something knew about your body as well as something practical that you never thought you could do,” said Karen Thomas, RN, director of Women’s Services at Mary Immaculate Hospital.
On May 25, 2006, Peninsula women will learn the latest advancements in hormone replacement therapy from Kathy O’Connell, M.D., obstetrician and gynecologist, followed by a workshop on car maintenance, including how to balance your tires, from the experts at Suttle Motor Corporation in Newport News.
Other programs will include, “When the Plumbing Leaks: Basic Home & Bladder Health Maintenance;” “Investing in Your Future: Building and Protecting Your Money &
Mobility;” and “Get in the Picture: Understanding the Digital Age & Aging Beautifully.”
If you would like to attend “Balance Your Tires, Balance Your Hormones: Cruising the Road of Midlife,” please call 886-6700 to register. The program will start at 7 p.m. in the main showroom at Suttle Motor Corporation located at 12525 Jefferson Avenue in Newport News. Registered guests will receive a free gift and enjoy refreshments.
