Diabetes

We offer programs to help you manage your condition and to educate you and your family about diabetes.Group classes are appropriate for persons newly diagnosed with diabetes or for anyone needing an update on self-management.

Individualized appointments offer special needs instruction, nutritional counseling and insulin or monitoring instruction. The education team is comprised of a registered nurse, registered dietitian, exercise physiologist and other health professionals.

To schedule appointments or for information on classes, call 757-886-6100 from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

The Mary Immaculate Hospital Diabetes Support Group meets the second Tuesday of each month from 7-8:30 PM in the Community Education and Health Resource Center.
