This is why Bon Secours Hampton Roads is a certified HeartCaring hospital with educational support from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI). HeartCaring is a Spirit of Women program designed to improve women's heart health in the community. HeartCaring involves a three-prong approach to planning and implementation that includes hospitals, physicians, and consumers in an effort to decrease the occurence of death due to heart disease in women by increasing awareness and prevention.
