Tours, Classes and Services

Each of Bon Secours Birthing Centers offers regularly scheduled tours and classes for mothers and fathers-to-be, grandparents, and family members and friends.

Sibling programs, Lamaze training, lactation services, parenting classes and follow-up home visits are available, and we're constantly adjusting and growing our offerings to meet the needs of today's mothers and families. Please call for more information about schedules, registration and tuition. Many birth and parenting classes are free.

We strive to make the arrival of your baby a very personal and special experience. Our facilities are among the most modern in southeastern Virginia.

Our staff will work closely with you and your physician to support your birthing options. We encourage Dad or a support person to participate in the birthing process.

The Center for Birth at DePaul Medical Center has private, beautifully decorated birthing suites, and as the first hospital to deliver babies in Hampton Roads, continues its mission of bringing new life into the world.

Mary Immaculate Hospital:

The Birthplace has brightly decorated, private birthing rooms. Following delivery, the new family is transferred to a private room on the Mother/Baby unit where the staff is specially trained, and one nurse cares for you and your baby.

The Family Birth Center offers spacious, private birthing rooms with Jacuzzi availability. Our Mother/Baby rooms have a Bed & Breakfast-type atmosphere with sleeping accommodations for Dad in every room.
